I am having one of those days where I just don't understand the human race, or at least the portions of it I most frequently come in contact with. It just seems like there's been a huge string of conflicts and blow-ups lately among people I know, and so many of them just seem unnecessary

That was some pretty crazy stuff going on in the list for awhile.
Hopefully it is over and we can get back to what we like to do best. Share good expierences and perv around when we can.

At the risk of sounding arrogant... I think I do have compassion for the people I interact with. But then again I don't have all of the emotional baggage that you just described... but I've noticed that a lot of sub-cultures that have experienced a lot of rejection/pain/etc can themselves be quite cruel.
