It was really a perfect stress storm. Though I suppose I should have said that the facility was really helpful and sweet for the most part. I'd recommend them to anyone without excess anxiety!

I'll update with the almost assuredly good news once I get it.

None of that sounds pleasant, but I am going to go through the remainder of this week assuming that if they did not rush you into the ER that means your brain is perfectly fine. ♥

I think you're probably right. :) And no, not pleasant, but over now. Getting that LJ entry out was cathartic!

That all sounds terrible! I'm so sorry! There's a lady where I work that had to have an MRI done last year and she told me she's never been claustrophobic in her life but when they put her in the thing she freaked and started having a full on panic attack. She said she was just screaming for the nurse because she thought she was having a heart attack. So I think you really handled everything super well and held it together awesomely even when it was all going so shitty!

P.S. Insurance companies are seriously THE WORST!

I spent more of the test with my eyes closed, but I'm not sure if it would have bothered me more if I'd had to spend 45 minutes just staring at a ceiling about 2 inches from my face. They put my head in this plastic cage thing. (I didn't have that bizarre table strapped on me...) For me it wasn't so much frightening, more like being fitted with a cone of shame, but it could have eventually gotten to me!

Insurance companies are pretty terrible. I don't know what magical health care Republicans have to make them so reluctant to change it.

Oh yes, hers was more of a full body one I think because she said she felt like she was in a coffin. But either way, I don't think the human body is made to stay perfectly still for 45 minutes. (And any time someone tells you to not move of course you immediately feel like you need to!)

Ugh. It's fine for rich people who can afford whatever they want, but there's a reason I don't go to the doctor unless I'm in unbearable pain and that reason is a $3,000 deductible.
