My morning has been interesting already. Work issues abound. Oh boy!!!! Thank goodness none of them are related to me. I just hate that things get so nasty so quickly around here ( Read more... )

In my neck of the woods, they're discontinuing standard cable - so everyone will be required to have digital cable. This is going to be a killer! I've gotten used to watching USA (I LOVE The 4400), and been happy paying $19.95 a month - but the end of October, I'll have to get digital if I want to keep cable, and the MINIMUM package is $49.95/month!!!

It's insanity! I'm sure you can find things to do with your time besides tv - and Gilmore Girls is on WB, so you won't miss that. :o)
Maybe you can take up crocheting! :o)

You should at least try the D&D/RPG thing. My wife would be happy to help you... It is like her personal quest in life to convert as many women as possible. :)

What a wonderful idea. In exchange for her services, I will go to not 1, not 2, but all of your hockey games. :)

*laugh* Seriously, it's like her personal quest. She'll probably taunt you if you decide not to play. *Grin*

After seeing "anime" and "the Inwood" in the same sentence, I went to see what movie it was. My argument for seeing it is this: Passing on the chance to see Akira in the theatre because it's anime is like passing on the chance to see Gone With The Wind in the theatre because you don't like Atlanta. Seriously, it's a classic in its genre. I'd give my eyeteeth for the chance to see it in on the big screen.

That said, I think it's worth trying something a friend or partner likes that you may not at least once. I'd never gone to a nightclub before Vogon and I started dating and going clubbing with him a few times were interesting experiences, but not something I plan to do again anytime soon.

I'm willing to try anything if it means he and I can give it a shot. ;)
