Writer's Block: Forbidden Reading

There was Jackie Collins of course, Lace by Shirley Conran, Scruples by Judith Krantz. I actually still have all of these on my bookshelves! :-)

I read the Jean M Auel Clan of the Cave Bear series when I should have been studying for my HSC, I'm pretty sure Mum wasn't happy about me reading them. Not for the content, it was the timing. She says even

Oh I *love* the Clan of the Cave Bear series. I read it when I was fairly young and it was, uh, fairly graphic at that stage. :) It's still my favourite series ever. :)

I does get a bit tedious though when you read it as an adult, I got so sick of reading about the bloody spear chucker & how Jondalar could throw it further, but Ayla was more accurate. *lol*
