Oh, this is the perfect edge of hurt for Loki - always in the shadows, always overlooked, rejected, second best. Already for this I'm in love with the beginning.
And it's so painful to see how Loki realizes that he is to accompany Thor with one simple task - keep his brother-to-be-King from doing something stupid (like starting a war with Midgard).
You know, I would be entirely grateful if during the story Odin would have somehow a way to see his sons progress. And to judge their good deeds, mistakes, failures and victories. See them through the eyes of from the beginning unbiased midgardians. And maybe, just maybe Odin will start to see the real value of his adopted son, start questioning, if his is just in headstrong belief that Thor should be King.
So... he-he, how about that? ;-)
