Was It Good For You, Too?

We just had an earthquake! Bigger than any of the ones I've been in before. Magnitutde 5.6 apparently. The entire apartment shook, and the cats freaked out. It lasted about 10 seconds or so. No harm done.

Four of the last five posts on my friends page are about this earthquake. It's almost enough to make me wonder how to measure eathquakes in LJ-geography.

11 of 11, for me, but I was somewhat reassured to notice that the quake.usgs.gov site reported it before my friendslist. ;-)

I went there before I went to LJ. :)

One of the posts on my friendslist was griping about how the info wasn't on the USGS site yet.

I really have no idea why the rest of the country is freaked about them
they're kind of fun.

The first few seconds were fun. When it kept going, and the cat ran to be in a doorway, I started to get a little worried. The other ones I've been in were all fun.

They came as a package deal with me. Or vice-versa; missionista has occasionally been worryingly unclear on that point.

Nope, everyone and everything is fine and dandy, although I found a lamp knocked over when I came to work today.
