i'm looking for a one-shot that had Heero blinded because of the Marimaia War. He was sitting on a porch with Duo and Duo's trying to get him to 'see' colors again. definitely 1x2. i thought it was in ff.net, but i combed through and couldn't find it

Well, I didn't see any references to Mariamaia's war when I skimmed it, but it kind of sounds like Link Worshiper's "Moon on a Moonless Night." You can find it under the romance archive section of Moments of Rapture (and probably a few other places, like Link's own page)

thanks, this is exactly what i was looking for. i thought there was a bigger explanation for the blindness, that's why i mentioned the war. ^^'
