If this is what's required for a small wedding, Meredith doesn't want to know what's needed for a big one. The end result will be worth it, but right now, the litany of details and the trying on of dresses and making choices about music and cake and everything else, even when (mostly) shared, drags a bit.

It's a relief, then, to find Sean's note and then Sean himself. Smiling, she makes her way over to him. "What are you doing up here? Are you hiding?"

Whipping around, startled but grinning, Sean tries to look casual as he leans against the rampart wall to greet her. "Hidin'? Me?" he asks, schooling his expression into something overly innocent. "Nonsense. Jus'... gettin' a bit o' air." For hours on end, if necessary.

"All the way up here," Meredith says, walking over to face him, "where no one can find you. Convenient coincidence. Hello." She leans up to kiss him, huffing out a laugh as she settles back. It's not like she can blame him for that. If she were a little quicker, she might've tried to hide, too, although nothing's ever going to get taken care of with both of them gone.

"Ye found me," Sean smugly points out, reaching up to rest his arms on the ledge behind him. "But ye're right, it did work out pretty nicely fer me, didn't it?"
