It's no small trick to make me like this Irene Adler, but you have done it. I hope this doesn't stay a one-shot!

I loved this Irene Adler; but I think its only a matter of perspective. I don't compare her with canon Irene, because to put it in Jim's words, she had been on the side of the angels (a 'Royally' wronged Victorian Heroine), albeit no less gutsy or feisty.

Here, her spirit has been preserved, minus the strong moral compass. B.B.C. Irene is no angel. She misbehaves. So she had to get her come-uppance in the end. As you sow, so shall you reap and all that.

I did not see her as a woman, just a mind that matched Sherlock, and Sherlock falling in love with that mind. He couldn't let her die, not because he's a knight in shining armour who's in love with her, but because it would be a terrible waste of a kindred intellect...

Sorry for that, but I did love the S-I dynamic, and yes there will be more of her in future parts.

There's a slew of post-Reichenbach fics out there, right now, almost all of it very well written as it's a genuinely emotional response to the Series finale. So first, thanks for taking the time to read one more...And also thank you so much for such an enthusiastic response! I hope, the subsequent parts live up to your expectations!
