Title: We Know By Now To Say Enough (9/?) Rating: T/PG-13 Disclaimer: The title/lyrics used are from the song “The Secret’s In The Telling” by Dashboard Confessional. Summary: Missing moments between Puck and Quinn during season two.
THAT DAMN BRACELET RIPPED MY HEART OUT. Tiny cross, and tiny Star of David? Perfect and heartbreaking.
Seriously, really wonderful job. This is my new canon, just so you know. You're now rewriting my S2 canon, and great responsibility comes with that privilege. (Though, I have no doubt you will continue to knock it out of the park!)
I miss Beth :( And even if the writers all have their heads buried in the sand, we know Puck and Quinn miss her too. This was beautiful, I can't tell you how much I love this story- it's helping get me through the horrible episodes we've been forced to endure this season. I'm really hoping that we get to see Beth in the season finale, since they said in an interview that Shelby and Beth are living happily in New York City. The writers better not let us down (more than they already have)
Did they really?!? I didn't know that! Aw, well at least Beth is growing up in the most amazing city ever. But yes, the writers ignoring Beth's impact on Puck and Quinn isn't right at all :/ I'm so glad you like this because it's really fun to write ^_^
I was going to comment on each chapter, but I decided just to combine all my praises into one big thing here. I am in love with your Puck, and the way he's stuck between being a badass and someone who actually has feelings. You should give into them sometime Puck, seriously. But whatever. Because THE BRACELET. AND JUVIE TEACHING PUCK WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE KURT. AND THE FACT THAT HE HELPED HER BREAK INTO SAM'S LOCKER. ♥
And there was more, but those were my absolute favourite moments, and you know what -- I adore that they text all the time, because I can fully seem them mocking Rachel and Finn the entire time in this way that's awful but also ridiculously flirty.
So I guess all that equals "I love this" and "you should drop everything you're doing and post the next chapter soon", huh?
Aw, thank you!! I actually wish I could go into the Puck/Kurt thing more, but it's really not the story for it; maybe some other time I'll have to write that. And I totally didn't plan on having so many texting sessions when I started writing this, but they're so much fun to write.
I'm trying to post every five days, so the next chapter should be up 21st ^_^
That's one thing I love about this fandom -- I can actually get into fics where the characters text each other constantly without distracting from the feel of what the show is generally about it.
And I'd totally be all for Puck/Kurt fic if you do. Most of what I've found is totally sexual shipper fic, and... I just can't get into that at all. :/
Hahaha it's actually a popular gift to give to families who follow two religions - I got one from my aunt and three of my other friends got something similar!
