see, you are just like all the other engaged girls - you are totally excited and just couldn't wait to show off your rock! (you know i'm just teasing you. ;p )
it's so pretty though! don't lose it!
what kind of bike does Joel have now? it looks just like the one Awilda's husband has.

well, if you had just bought a really expensive ring for your girlfriend, wouldn't you want her to show it off? something extravagant as that needs to be exposed! heehee

oh msfourtune. seeing the stuff i've seen in shock trauma, it's hard to fathom how bikes could be worth it. we just see so freegin MANY MCAs and they're so HORRIBLE and for different reasons, and never do they seem WORTH it. sure, there are tons of car accidents too, and i wouldn't say never ride a car because the repercussions of an MCA vs MVA are so vastly different. seriouly, seeing what can (and DOES, very very often) happen and how it affects your family&friends makes you worry about your loved ones out there, unprotected on bikes. ie, my stupid brother. and YOU if you get one! and when you ride one! yeah. *sigh* that's all. but life shouldn't be lived in fear, i suppose. and ignorance is bliss (until it smacks you upside the head or makes you lose a limb). on a brighter note: CONGRATS!! =)

thanks!

and of course i've thought about wrecking on a bike a LOT. I've read about them and a few have happened down here, recently to a coworker of mine who was a rider without a helmet (there are no helmet laws in SC). She came in and she hardly remembered anyone's name and was in pretty bad shape from busting up a few ribs. everytime joel goes out on his bike, i get scared, but i know he's a very cautious driver. and i DO know that sometimes even the most expereinced MC drivers can be hit by stupid inexpereinced car drivers...but i guess that's the risk people take. one of the reasons i want to get one is to drive to work (better milage per gallon) or maybe later in my life just for fun. driving a motorcycle is like smoking cigarettes, you know the risks, but yet, you still puff away.
