so yesterday i went to the doctor to get to the bottom of my ridiculous rib cracking ways. she agreed that it was weird. that i was young and this shouldn't be happening. so i went off to get an x-ray to make sure i actually fractured my rib this time. i'm also getting a bunch of pulmonary tests next month. that sounds exciting. after that, if we ( Read more... )

my across the hall neighbors are a married couple who share my delightful last name. neither of their first names start with k, but polling place volunteers look up stuff by last name first. this also happened to all three of us during the 2004 election. it confuses people that so many people at the same address have the same last name. election officials, the postal system, UPS. it's cool, we've learned to deal.

So did you get an x-ray last year to determine if you actually broke your rib that time? Or could it have been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad bruise as well?

I hope they figure out what's wrong with you and make it stop happening...and also so maybe your doctors can get together and write a book, Crazy-Ass Stuff You've Never Seen Before In a Young Healthy Woman, Part I.

no, last year the x-ray showed a fracture. this year i only bruised the bone. making progress!
