I got into a fight yesterday with a Daily Torygraph reader who was outraged about the far left hijacking the Grenfell protest.

Wasn't outraged that apparently the state murdered almost a hundred people. No, what he was disgusted by was that the protestors stormed the council building.

Yep. It's almost like these people have an internal spin-doctor ... here are some people angry with a Conservative government? It must be the hard Left again!

I've also been simultaneously amused and repelled (ought to be a word for that ... amulled? repused?) by the people who are complaining that the value of their multi-million pound flats will go down when the Grenfell survivors move in next door. Cuz ... we're all in this together, no?

Yeah, the narrative has moved so far to the extreme right, that even moderate stuff gets hysterically denounced as savage marxism. Let's not listen to what the protestors are angry about, lets just condemn them because a few socialist worker signs were spotted there.

And yeah, there's a lot of repusedness around.
