Torchwood fandom has spoiled me...

Torchwood was the first fandom I'd gotten involved in in a while, and also the first fanfic I'd read after some time of not reading much fic. Here's the thing about Torchwood: yeah, the fandom can be a little crazy, especially since COE, but it's a really nice fandom. And it's great reading fic for it, because so much works okay. I can believe

Yeah, I'm kind of picky about fics as a rule. Not just in terms of quality, but in terms of what I like to read for particular fandoms. I've had pretty good experiences so far with Merlin fic, though in all honesty, I haven't done much reading yet (I'd like to read yours when I get a chance). Thanks for the rec! I'll be sure to check it out.

I never object to people reading my fic. So go for it :).

Merlin fic... There seems to be little crap in the fandom, but there's also very few stand-out pieces, to me. Maybe I'm setting the bar too high, but a lot of the stuff that people hail as the next great thing simply doesn't work for me at all. Or maybe I'm just really picky. Dunno :).

I know what you mean about Torchwood fanfiction. I used to read Harry Potter, then Merlin, but now I've started on the Torchwood stuff I can't go back! (except for my favourite authors)

are all fantastic (all modern day AUs). There are some good canon fics, but they don't tend to stand out as much (all very good, but very much the same). Hope you enjoy these ones though!
