She's applied to Emerson College in Boston and Bennington College in Vermont. She's still working on the application to Salem State University in Salem Massachusetts, and possibly UMass Amherst (she really doesn't want to go there though).
I think she'd like to go to Bennington the most which has a "Musical Theater" major, and Salem State is a favorite because it's in the 'Witch City' where she'd be surrounded by that whole culture, but it doesn't have the specific major of "Musical Theater", just "Theater". I could probably get her a job in the Salem Witch Museum with the help of a friend, and she loves that idea. When we visited Emerson, she got turned off by some of the stuff we learned, so I'm not sure what she thinks of that any more.
I think what it comes down to is waiting for acceptance letters and offers of scholarships and financial aid and then making a final decision.
Wow, I haven't seen you post in forever! Anyway, I guess change is inevitable...I'm sure college will be a blast for your daughter (isn't college always a blast?? It was for me, at least in hindsight!), and you will roll with the punches. Hope to see you on here more often in the new year!
