I hate group projects

I have to do a 'mini fashion line' group project for my apparel evaluation class and the entire thing is one big clusterfuck. My group has been late turning in every assignment associated with this project and we never actually met together as a group outside of class until tonight--our presentation is tomorrow ( Read more... )

OF COURSE yours is better. I'd be a sneaky bitch and replace everything and do it myself (if you had the time), and then present my shit. OR go to your professor, show him what YOU did and explain to him that they would not let yours (WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY BETTER) be the one presented. Fuck them bitches.

I honestly thought of doing that. But my group leader was obviously gung-ho about not using my design. Wednesday night, she was flipping out like, "There's no time! We just need to get it done!" when I tried to get her to use my design, but the project was done Thursday morning, and we don't have to turn it in until today (Friday).
So basically, I'm like fuck it. If she wants that trash to represent her work then so be it. Our class was brutal critiquing everyone else's projects, so it'll be up to them to defend this ugly shit.

I am planning to go to my professor and show her my version, but only to "let her know why the portfolio version of my project will look different than the one presented in class". Just so she knows.

How come theirs look like they used some sort of template? Put your title here. Put your description in this box. Seriously, that's something I can do. Not to be biased, but your design is more along the lines of something I would expect in a class like that.

If they had actually used a template, the project would have looked so much better than this mess.
The truth is, my design would have been the best in the class. I'm the only one there with graphic design experience.
But it doesn't matter. I plan on showing my teacher my version of the project anyway. Not to complain about my group members not using it, but "just to let her know why my portfolio version of this project will look different than the one we presented".

Umm...they really oughta be ashamed. Yep, I hope you did like you stated above and let the Professor know. WHat is wrong with those kids? I'd be delighted if I were in a group project and somebody in the group wanted to show something BETTER...and I didn't have to do it? PUHLEEZE.

That's really what I couldn't wrap my head around. The only thing I can think of is that they got so stuck on the idea of designing the clothes and the "look" of the clothing line, that they couldn't be persuaded to see how shitty the result was.
