I have been a bit behind in updating this thing. Work has been keeping me busy, but I did find time in July to head to New Hampshire with my dad for some mountain climbing/hiking. We headed up on a Thursday night and arrived quite late at our "cabin" on a small mountain near Bath, NH. I say cabin in quotes because it is really more like a shed that ( Read more... )

Sounds like a cabin to me. Sheds fall over when you lean on them and are always filled with cobwebs and stuff that is going to come to good use on that mythical day known as "someday".

We have 300 acres of land there and dad uses the "cabin" as storage and as a camp. It is rather nice actually despite the lack of electricity, running water, etc. It has a nice propane generator so we have lights and stuff, that water tank I mentioned, and even a stove. Heck, we even sat around on the front porch having coffee and watching the mist lift off the mountain. I saw bear tracks and moose tracks but did not the the real things in person. That might be a good thing though.

Not according to the zoning permit! Heh, the permit was for a shed...dad calls it a "shed on steroids". It is a technicality but that is why we call it a shed still.

I was drenched in sweat and my legs were burning. I did not FEEL pretty at all and the pack does funny things to my chest. Thank you so much for the compliment! You know, despite what you think about yourself you are beautiful as well! Aren't we all our own worst critic?

Not in BATH. Mountain is far away from that town and I think it is in a park.

*jealous* One of these days I am going to get to go hiking as much as I have wanted to.. I am glad you got to go though. Planning on making more of these trips?

You might be out of shape but you look as amazing as always, albeit exhausted.

Heh, thanks. I do plan to make more and have started buying gear. I still need to get my own pack and some better boots. My dad, sister, and brother in law all do a lot of hiking so I would like to be able to tag along. That is the goal at least. Oh, we even have a CWAL WoW guild hike/camp planned for spring. I look forward to it.
