Glorious morning! Not so glorious afternoon.

I met kaalee and her students this morning to accompany them on a field trip. Two things of note: 1) they are as awesome as she says, and 2) she is as awesome with them as we all expected! I had two little boys, C and N, who were completely adorable and completely different. C is very curious and wanted to do a lot of exploring and N is sweet and ( Read more... )

I feel like I should pay you or something. ♥ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMING!!!

We would have loved to have kept you all day. N said, "She was nice."

[also, we had bus issues and didn't end up leaving till nearly noon. :P My kids were troopers, though.]

EXCEPT I FORGOT TO SAY: I'm sorry all that shit happened. Boo hiss. Next time we'll keep you all day and you can ignore all the things blowing up.

OMG! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INVITING ME!

N is possibly the most adorable thing ever! When they had to recite the 4 things about Lincoln, C couldn't remember but N just blurted them all out with his huge eyes and I swear that was the moment I fell for him.

And some of the girls asked how I knew you and if you talked about them at all (ahahahahahaha!). Then they asked where I worked and I explained in first grade terms and then we saw a plane take off and C asked if I would have to leave if it fell down, and just. That's it, I am quitting tomorrow and just hanging out with 6 year olds all day for ever and ever.

Nope, kids, sorry. I NEVER talk about you. AT ALL. :P

MORE REASONS TO LOVE N: He has been the tiniest one in the class since the beginning of the year. Everyone seriously wants to take care of him and he wants None. Of. That. And we just got a new student at the end of last week who is actually smaller. N even measured; I saw him. I think he's relieved he's not the tiniest anymore. :P

Also, this is the kid who told me on Tuesday that he was so excited to start writing our nonfiction animal books, "I've been planning my book all weekend!"

omg, make me stop. I could seriously talk about him forever.

Also, I am so calling C out tomorrow: "You couldn't tell Ms. [you] the four things first graders are supposed to know about AL?" And then I'll give him an eyebrow and he'll laugh at me and then tell me all four things. Maybe I'll have him draw them. :P And send it to you.

I'm seriously just so, so pleased that you could come (and wanted to). I'm all happy and giggly about it.

COME ANYTIME!!!
