If you are interested in getting all 24 of the first wave of blind bags they sell them by the box at hasbrotoyshop.com and they are currently in stock. Catch is a box is 47 dollars which is what the cost would be if you bought all 24 bags by themselves. From what I hear from Equestria Daily if you buy a box you will get all 24 and if you use the promo code MLPTEN you get 10% off the online store. Doesn't include shipping and handling.

I mainly want Rarity; there are others I like (the rest of the Mane Six and a few others) but I don't have fifty dollars to spend on ponies right now. :/

And if I did have an extra fifty dollars to spend on ponies, I'd head over to eBay and buy a G1 pony named Barnacle.

Well if its Rarity you are looking for I think I just saw her on Amazon for cost. She comes with Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. Here's a link.

But I'm sure you can find this at Target too so you dont pay for shipping. I think Target has a better relationship with Hasbro then Wal-Mart does. And this fall Toys R Us is getting the exclusive line With Trixie, Vinyl Scratch and the white Celestia. Blah I'm going to be broke this winter.

Just wondering if you knew about the blind bag tagging numbers? So if you do want to just buy blind bags they are marked so you can figure out which ponies are in which bags so it takes some of the guess work out of it.
