While I'm the last person who should give anyone music advice, Cherry Ghost's album Thirst For Romance is a pretty decent bit of britpop. Then again it's probably just a passing fancy in the midst of my current Eno-thon.

Yep, and still producing for U2, did Paul Simon's and Belinda Carlisle's recent albums as well, none of which I'll ever listen to. Though again, damned NPR, I did hear a clip of a Paul Simon song.

His ambient stuff is good to listen to while working, it's just there, not trying to get your attention. The free multi-track mp3s for a couple songs off My Life In The Bush have been a lot of fun to tinker around with and remix in Garageband. Those wacky days of the early 80s.
