One of the nicest things being a teacher is the summers. I'm being such a bum- my couch is so comfy. Bit is addicted to Dora the Explorer, and asks so sweetly for it. "Momma, may I PLEASE have some Dora please?" Thing is, he doesn't want to take no for an answer! Their is only so much Dora one can watch without melting one's mind. The amount of Dora I can watch without descending into insanity is none at all. It melts my brain more than any other show that isn't truly awful.

I don't have brain-melting issues, but the insipid songs get stuck in my head, and it drives me nuts.

I have that problem with the Backyardigans. The songs aren't terrible, but they have to be pried out with a crowbar.

Blue's Clues. The songs can stay for days, even with playing other music. And when one of those songs is about going to the bathroom. . . At least Mara has picked up some sign language from it.

I know three teachers (one of them my brother), and I - am - sooooooooo - jealous. >:P
