this lent we have decided to give up the acquisition of new plastic. this means we cannot buy anything made of or packaged in plastic, nor get someone to buy it for us, nor remove the packaging before purchasing it. yeah we thought warburtons did... I haven't actually bought bread since the start of lent so I was going to check when I go shopping. I don't know whether I want white bread really though... maybe if they do one of those best of both's in waxed paper that would be OK though. We normally have bread with seeds and grains in.

My friend's baby says "bugger". They have stopped swearing in front of her now. She is only 16 months!!

When you run out of marjarine you can do as they do somewhere on the continent: either rub a squashed tomato on your toast or use some olive oil. Works a treat. I never use butter or marj but occasionally do as I've suggested.
