this might be personal... are you still hung up about your accident? :(

chase dreams are the worst.. i haven't had them for years - luckily. i figured out how to dream lucidly.. but oddly these days.. instead of fully controlling the dreams.. my body just gets bored of the whole dreaming process, and just wakes me up. which is really annoying, cos i'd rather sleep... mine now just get weird.

I am over the accident. But the accident, in addition to a subsequent speeding ticket and defensive driving class, all of it has made me very cautious about being on the road. Even though I am now a reluctant driver, I am not carefree when behind the wheel anymore, and I think I'm better for it.

It's just that before I took a lot of great joy in driving, I loved it. Even after four years I wasn't sick of it, I loved the music, the movement, the traveling. The roads here are long, flat and stretched out, so with decently low traffic, it's good cruising. But no matter how much of a good driver I was, I was still very naive about it. Losing that and getting "real" with the accident and aftermath took all of it away, even if it matured me for the good. I guess that is what I'm hung up over instead of the trauma from the crash.
