Awwww

There is an adorable kitten that has been camped outside my house the last two nights. She's maybe 6 weeks old, is a pretty pale orange striped cat and she is just so thin! She has that cute squeak meow and you can practically see her bones under her fur. I probably shouldn't have but I fed her last night. I'm relieved that it's warm out so the ( Read more... )

I go through the "one more" wouldn't hurt debate all the time. PetSmart adoption days are the worst.

Like you, I'm baffled how anyone could free a kitten into the big, bad world.

Those are the worst. I almost always fall in love on the spot. But this one is so cute and she's so loveable. I think I may have already named her too. She looks like a Gemma to me. I really don't want to add another cat to my household but I just wish there was someone to take care of her.

Oh, maybe you can scoop her up and get her to a shelter? A good home?

I'm going to start with the good home suggestion. There are a lot of people who live around me who feed the cats outside but don't take care of them. They kind of pretend the cats are theirs but then I see these cats out in the middle of winter and they don't look as healthy. I just hate seeing that happen to any cat. I'll check around and see if anyone I know might want her.

Three cats would be too many, right? Right?

You don't know how many times I have said this same thing to myself! I'm afraid I'm not much help, I'm such a softie I would have already adopted it. ;)

I don't understand how people can let kittens out either. Heck I don't understand how people can let adult cats out. It always makes me sad and then pissed off, because I've seen too many of them get hit by cars and killed. >:(

I suppose my decision has been made already. She hasn't been around the last two nights so I'm hoping that means someone has taken her in and is taking better care of her indoors.
