In my last entry (Which went largely unanswered. I am dissapointed!), I asked what image came to mind when someone mentioned the word "sweater" and asked for a general physical description of a sweater. Now, I shall explain the reason behind the question

I always thought a sweater was anything that's made of thick material you put on to get warm.

I have no idea what a cardigan is.

"Sweater" is a very broad term. To me, a cardigan has always been a style of sweater. And, there are t-shirt sweaters, and sweater vests... and people use it rather loosely.

But, you must remember - People are stupid!

true, i guess it could be used loosely. However i was quite confused and irritated at the time. I'll listen to the Fashion Major. ^_^
