you prolly already know/have read, "Life of Pi"- i loved that one.
i'm in the middle of, "The Reader"- dark, and wonderful so far (german author forget name).
"Perfume"- Pattrick Suskind. i can't reccommend enough.
just finished, "The Passion" for a book club. set in europe during neopolian bonaparte time period. romantic, and whimsical.
also on my list are, "sisterhood of travelling pants" series (chick lit), and also "good in bed" by jennifer weiner.
that's just off the top of my head. YAY reading lists! i'll let you know if i think of more.

Louis Drax is a crazy book. i haven't been able to get anyone else to read it yet, probably because oprah didn't make it part of her club, but darn it, its a great book! when you read it tell me, i am just dying to have someone to talk to about it.
I am so excited about this list!
Thank you!

Um... I also really, really liked A River Runs Through It by Norman McLean. It is really good as well. Very beautiful imagery and some good thoughts.
I also reccommend Life of Pi by ... crap I can't remember. Ask about it and a bookstore person will know what you are talking about. It is very good.
If you want a sortof serious book that is a good read (about religion) try Abraham by Bruce Feiler. He makes some really good points (that all of the fighting people do is retarded etc.) I liked it a lot as well.
Um... I think that's a pretty good list so far. You can always go for my personal favorite... Travels with Charlie by Steinbeck. A little bit heavy at times, but light hearted (I mean, how can traveling with your pooch not be light hearted?).
Okie, that's all I got. Te amo!
