Because I still default to tumblr even when I shouldn't, a repost from there:

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away - Pegasus, to be precise - I left the Stargate fandom with one major WIP left IP. Qui Habitat was my Moby Dick, or rather the ending was. I had spent 200K words over several stories building a universe in great detail and ( Read more... )

I've reread Qui Habitat several times over the years, enjoying the series greatly each time. it definitely stands up, and even if it wasn't finished, it's something of which you can be proud. and speaking as a greedy reader, if you were to post more in the series, I'd be all over that instanter.

I love all of your SGA fic and only wish you had more of it in you. The world-building is amazing! I liked all of Qui and think the story worked really well. I particularly liked Huma. Jeannie’s story is great as well.

It stands up, and always always will, because the way you created and built the world is strong, detailed, and imaginative. You took a television show and made it so fully-realized by the addition of so many interesting characters for which you created a BIOGRAPHICAL COMPENDIUM so we could have as much backstory as possible about pretty much everyone.

It’s great. Wish you’d do more. But when you move on, you move on. Thank you.

Holy cats! I am so sorry for never replying to your comment last month! I can only log in from one computer and I... I just goofed. I am sorry.

I am 12K words into a worldbuilding retcon for QH, so I honestly don't know where the future lies with it. I am apparently vested once more.

It’s fine! It was literally only a few days ago. I’ll be interested to see what you come up with for QH, I don’t know of many for writers who retcon fic after such a long time with such a rich backstory. You should see if anyone wants to provide some illustrations, too.
