DMZ does the movies: Red Army

Gosh, I wanted to love this. I really did -- a documentary on the Soviet Red Army hockey team with Slava Fetisov as the main focus. If you know anything about the sport, what could be better?

they don't mention KHARLAMOV?????? Or Larionov? Good Lord, that's like talking about the Pittsburgh Penguins without mentioning Jagr.

A good friend of mine is a Red Army fanatic. I'll be sure to tell him about this, and what it leaves out. Thanks for the heads-up!

It mentions Larionov a couple of times, but as an interview subject either in file footage or in the present, no. He is mentioned once when introducing the Green Unit via a photo of the five, once when Fetisov says that they called him the Professor because he was skinny and nerdy. And there's game footage and Fetisov sneers a little at how he and Krutov and Makarov agreed to hand over half their salaries to the Soviets to go play in the NHL, but that's entirely it.

How does Vlad the Inhaler look these days? I still can't get over the Elston cartoon of him in a hot dog bun.....:)

Krutov? He doesn't look well at all because he died a couple of years ago.
