Amen Hallelujah. (I'm also presuming that Paget and AJ would not have been fired/cut back?)

My only thing about the Criminal Minds episode is that it was the CBS executives who fired her- not the show runners. To me, the whole episode read as the writers complaining they were losing A.J. Cook for unclear reasons when no one wanted her to leave in the first place.

And agree completely on the makeup comment.

It was still creepy and weird, no matter who failed to save AJ Cook's job. The montages didn't help (and they also, btw, kind of put the point on why Cook was expendable -- short of her pregnancy, she had very little that was memorable).

Watched the first two episodes of Hawaii Five-O on your rec. I was a little surprised that they showed the not-so-pretty side of Hawaii. I thought the tourism board didn't allow that. (Maybe I'm just naive.) I do like Scott Caan but I wish O'Loughlin would pull the stick out of his butt already. I'll keep watching it.

And was it you who recced Rizzoli and Isles? It wasn't bad once they hit their stride. Still not sure about Blue Bloods but I'll give it another shot.

Wishing you better weather...

I did not rec Rizzoli & Isles. I didn't much like it.

Honestly, I don't get why everyone is always making noise about O'Loughlin's range. He's a known quantity by this point and what he's known for is not his dynamism. I am perfectly well satisfied with how he's playing McGarrett -- a guy used to operating one way, which no longer applies, and surrounded by people who operate differently and haven't come to respect his authority intuitively. The character should be a little uptight.

I haven't seen O'Loughlin in anything else so I wasn't aware that was his particular style. I was just hoping as Garrett, he'd loosen up a little. I guess that's not going to happen. Other than that, I like the show.

I still haven't found anything that's really captured my attention like SGA. I think that's because everything else is either so well written it doesn't need the help, or so very bad that it can't be helped. Or maybe I'm just old. :)

Dmitri's probably toast, since I like him. Jo, whom I deplored from the get-go, survived forever.

You need a Lucas-with-his-tats icon. ;)

I shall catch up with the next episode this weekend, perhaps, or save it for next week for that lonely lull between the end of my baseball season and the start of the NHL.
