aka, the weekly post of random.

* Fleet Week 2010 is upon us! The Navy and Marines roll in to town today. I shall take my usual Memorial Day stroll down Hudson River Park to get a good view of the ships and their contents. This year's schedule.

* Not unrelated: so I was directed by Tom Ricks' blog to a Marine Corps Times article on a baker's ( Read more... )

Prince of persia in my mind was worth the price of an IMAX ticket, just for its sheer enthusiasm and attempt to take a half serious game seriously. if you have though a big tv its probably worth waiting for the dvd/blu-ray:)..

i liked it.. mind you think "brotherhood of the Wolf" was the most fun i have had in a long time.. its not a great storyline but it sure makes up for that with its enthusuasm:)...

Eurovision last year was just amazingly awfully fun... i wonder what this year will bring..

I decided not to go see PoP because of the casting choices, other than that I've heard it's a fun movie.

Eurovision had already amused me so much this year, by bringing into existance a picture of the Norwegian contestant where the guy looks like a cross between John Sheppard and Adam Lambert. He has been named Jondam.

Other than that I am mystified by the fact that the German contestant continues the streak of being weirdly popular in Germany and getting press like there are actually people out there who believe she has a chance to do well.

Yeah, I figured that there was a high probability that you'd seen it (before or after it was all over the fandom) but I included the link in case you hadn't, just easier that way. Good on you though. ; )

Isn't that known as The Hasselhoff Effect? :}

Wow that is one weird act, I can't wait to see what some of the other countries come up with. Unfortunatley we in the UK have a song that sounds like it has been ripped straight out of the 80's but without the hilariously disturbing fashion to make it interesting. I'm thinking another nil points this year!! But i'll still be watching, its so tacky you can't help but be sucked into watching the whole thing.
