* I want my damned global warming. It's 12 May and there is a wind chill (which is 42F/6C). The high temperature today might crack 50 degrees and I wore my winter coat to work. Also, it's raining, but this is NYC and it rains a lot here.

Yea, I think everyone feels for the Jays -- and their fans -- on this one. It would have been the best attendance weekend of the season at the park, absolutely. My question is whether the Jays themselves are to blame a little -- when the league schedule is being made up, every team can put in days of the week and particular dates when they don't want to be at home (the Mets play almost no Monday games and evacuate every year for the US Tennis Open); did the Jays not ask to be on the road during the G20 or was MLB not able to accommodate the request?

I also don't know why they didn't go with a neutral site -- they could have gone to Washington or used Yankee Stadium or Fenway.

Seriously. I was so proud of myself for getting a jump on things by putting in the screens and putting the plants out... and then I have to turn the heat back on.

There are a ton (a ton!) of pictures on all of the services' web pages. They're all so awesome to see and I'm having a hard time winnowing them down for Friday.

Your global warming is over here - we've been 5-10 degrees C above average since the start of April. I love winter and hate hot weather so this makes me very sad. At least we got a brief run of normal May weather this week, but it's warming up again...
