One - I was never a Carter fan, but oh, this made me ache for her. I love the way you frame it, too, in that she "loses her sense of the monumental." It's something most people (like me) have never experienced, and so it's interesting to read and ponder.
Two - I was wondering if you'd bring Jackson into the main QH plot, but the Ori are probably keeping him in the Milky Way for now, huh? I'm cautiously hopeful, though (after all, I had given up on seeing Ronon in Orpheus, and then you went and put him in the story in a completely believable and non-contrived way). I like that you have him working the Ori from the inside, even if he doesn't know if it's working ( ... )
