I haven't been patient enough to sort through the glut of new Star Trek fic and communities to see what's good out there, so I'm so very glad you're writing. This is fantastic, and full of such great details, and I hope you're inspired to keep poking around.

There is indeed an awful lot of fic. But a surprising amount of really excellent genfic.

I really wish they had been able to spend just a wee bit more time on the Academy in the movie (though realistically they couldn't), and now I'm taking this as canon.

I guess now Kirk can joke that all of the members of his family are responsible for Starfleet policy changes now...
