Prodigal files: In the beginning...

Mar 29, 2009 15:01

Prodigal is entirely from the NCIS point of view, which means that I couldn't explain most of what was going on because there are no aliens in NCIS. Which in turn left a lot of unanswered questions. I'm not going to answer all of them, but maybe a few and all hopefully without diminishing the original tale...

It starts on a Tuesday. )

This was nice to see! I'm not sure if I'm more sad now about Azem's death because I know him, or less sad because he was dying anyway and this way at least it was a death with a purpose.

You know me -- I don't like deaths that don't mean anything. :)

I think this adds a lot to the story and it's very well done. It's great!

everyone in Atlantis knows that Major Lorne is Not a Morning Person It sounds like there's a story here?

Not really. I've always made Lorne someone whom the Air Force conditioned to get up at oh-dark-thirty but not someone for whom it would ever be natural or enjoyable.

That was... fast. Makes me suspect you already had it lying around on your hard drive rather than "thinking about writing something from the SGC's perspective" ;)

You haven't been around here long enough. I can write 25K words in less than a week (and have, on more than one occasion). Eight thousand in three days is pretty much nothing.

Mh, I used to be able to do that at well... it's been so slow-going all those last weeks... I really envy you ;)

This story continues to utterly and completely delight me! *g*

*is so very gleeful*

One of the many things that delighted me in this part was this:

'does the Colonel know, because if he doesn't, he's going to kill you.'

Oh, like Sheppard's actually got any room to criticize on this score. And like Lorne doesn't know that all too well. :)
