Notes: Another holiday fic! A reminder that whilst many people did them in December I had lots going on (and quite frankly it was a good idea not to do it then as I was highly unmotivated) so I'm doing it in January along with tromana.

I have SO MUCH LOVE for this. Of course, even if Red John was emotionally disconnected from his brother, he'd still want to slaughter Cook. The idea of his parents being killed on Christmas Day is harrowing, no wonder they both turned out how they did in the end...

Thanks! :D I wrote it a while ago, I think it was one of the first fics for the holiday fics. He really does seem the kind to avenge a family member's death despite not having had any contact with them. Haha.
