Lol a month, lmafooo a fucking month damn Mp's got the patience of a saint. I would have been throwing his crutches at his ass like a week into that bullshit, he broke a leg he's not dying.

he's a dude though. dudes are actually dying as soon as they have a little bit of a cold. and to be fair, it can be totally entertaining to see a grown man go back into child mode when he has the sniffles. and like, i didn't want to take ryan to a point where he whines and calls for his momma, but i'd like to imagine he turns into an insufferable mess when he can't do stupid shit on an hourly basis.

Really great read, you're MP & RL are both so on point.

I love that this was done from the base of an established relationship- MP is clearly willing to put up with a lot of shit for the man he loves.

thank you! i always put a lot of effort into dialogue and characters to make everything come across as real as it possibly can be for fiction. so it's nice to get complimented on that.

it's unusual for me to put them into any sort of domesticity within an established relationship, but i thought it did work better with the story this time. because having michael drop everything for a guy he isn't even dating seemed like too far a stretch.

Also this? Ryan may have been all, ‘If something happens then that’s a sign that maybe I wasn’t meant to do this’, but Michael knows him. A broken leg is not the way Ryan Lochte has had in mind for the end of his swimming-career, so he’ll most likely move heaven and hell to not let it get this far. Rings so very true to me.

ryan's been so focussed on being pissed off because he can't move, it's clouded his vision for everything else.

idk, i think ryan would be super pissed if he actually hurt himself so much that the has to end his career. simply because that's not his plan. he retires when he wants to retire, not when someone or something else tells him he has to.
