Okay, I'm kind of laughing because this is the first time I've come close to the "my childhood! noooo"-feeling. But I so love this! And I love how it's smut, but there is still so much of their deep friendship there. It's great! Whoa. I didn't even know there was Tintin fanfic. I need to check out more of this.

OMG seriously, I just *adore* this, thank you so much! ♥ I love all the little touches - the fact that the Captain embraces Tintin with more fervour than he does whiskey, the way Tintin knows that the Captain will stop at once if he thinks Tintin's distressed, their mutual adoration and trust, the safety of each other... *happysigh* and it's so *hot* too which is fabulous - the image of the Captain, frozen as he sees Tintin touching himself is just... *incoherent noises*
As you well know, it's just great to have more fic for this pairing in existence at all, and to have one this amazing written for me is wonderful *g*

OK, so I've been obsessing over wondering about this the last few days, ever since writing this story: at which point does Tintin move in with the Captain? I don't think that's ever made clear in canon, but it must be somewhere between 'Land of Black Gold' and 'The Calculus Affair' -- either before or after the 'Moon' stories (I don't have those with me at the moment, so can't check if they're living together at that point).

Anyway, I'd love to hear your personal fanon on this matter, if you'd like to share it. *g*

First I must say I have been back reading and re-reading this over the last few days - it is just so *right* *g* I was trying to find some way of expressing this more intelligently than just incoherent noises of delight, and I realise it's in Tintin's utter obliviousness to the fact that the Captain feels unworthy of him, because to him the Captain deserves everything ♥ As you say, I think we share a viewpoint on this *g
