I like the way you describe sound and time not moving right, and the awful waiting. And loved even more how Bones had to lecture Jim about not taking care of himself. So much like Bones to do that. :)

Oh so very very beautifully written! I thought it was Jim that was injured too, so it was a even better to discover it was Jim who had been that kind of upset (does that make sense? I still haven't had caffeine yet this morning) - usually I read Jim as the one who's pacing about, can't sit still, that sort of thing, so this just demonstrates *how* concerned he really is about Bones. Lovely stuff!

This was exactly what I wanted! It was fraught with tension and guilt and worry, just as it would be. And Jim was stuck in a mire until he knew Bones would be okay! Yay!

And, of course Bones would be chewing Jim out about not getting seen to!
