Seriously, can I just NOT get UTI's anymore? Please? ....please?

I'm going to tear my skin out. Hopefully the appointment I made online for tomorrow is actually available and won't make me late for work. Bleh.

Seriously, when you can, you've got to find a specialist who is looking into finding a better cure for UTIs. You get them so often, even knowing how to "prevent" them, and it will only get worse. =( I'm so sorry that you have to go through this again. It seems incredibly unfair.

(I wonder if Grimmy is hanging out with you in full sympathy these days, like, "there, there, human, I know how much this sucks, too.")

I really should. I mean, I've seen specialists before, and none of them has been able to come up with anything other than, "You don't have kidney issues, your bladder is clear, there's nothing really WRONG with your urethra... Hm. Hmmmm. Are you sure you're wiping correctly? Drinking enough water? ...Okay, well, honestly some people are just prone to them! Sucks, yep ( ... )

I'd also keep in mind that it took 10 years of seeing different doctors and specialists before someone figured out why my mom was getting severe pain in her uterus/abdomen. If it wasn't for the one person who eventually suggested the right test to see what was going on (and identify it), she may have still been having it now, or even died from it. So, sometimes you just have to keep trying until someone finds out the solution ( ... )

That's true. I guess my lack of assertiveness comes into play here, especially with arrogant doctors (of which you are intimately familiar) who I just never can stand up to.

You're totally right. I blank out the most obvious follow-up questions. I am so caught on details that I can think of obscure things and not the ACTUAL THING THAT I NEED TO KNOW. I was also like, 19 when I saw the specialists and going through my major depressive phase, so I'm sure I was naive AND totally accepting of the not-an-answer to my miserable situation.

Grim was VERY UPSET about his vagina at first. I imagine he did not enjoy exposed genitalia in any way. Now that all the hair's grown back and it's been over half a year since the surgery, he's more comfortable. But there were a lot of dubbed convos between Grim and Nero, Grim and Appa, and Grim and Mr. Hippo (my stuffed animals) in which his Fancy New Vagina was discussed (such as whether he'd keep his pronouns and how it felt to be able to pee freely again) and made fun of XDDD I would totally do a ( ... )
