*True to his word, Saval hasn't kept his relationship with Gaila from his new wife. He can't help his inherent cowardice, and he tries not to think of Gaila too much when T'Zad is around to hear it, but he'd been completely honest with her at the beginning
( ... )
[She's wanted so badly to contact him, but life in the resistance doesn't easily allow for that kind of thing. Even though she's come a long way, living among fellow Orions hasn't provided her with any of the answers she'd hoped to find. It has, however, allowed her to undo some of her wrongs.
For now she needs to stay away from Orion for a little while, down time after a dangerous mission, and she has just enough time to visit the Vulcan Colony. She wants so badly to see Saval, but she hopes she's not overstepping her bounds or causing trouble by coming here. Especially since she's earning quite a few subtle - and some not so subtle - looks from the other Vulcans. There are more non-Vulcans than she expected, but most are human.
When she catches sight of Saval she's frozen in place for a moment, just watching his face, and then he sees her and she feels her own heart skip a beat. She walks quickly towards him, a warm smile on her face.] Saval... I've missed you so.
*The other Vulcans can't afford to be picky or elitist about who visits the colony now--they need all the outside help they can get. But even if there were a law against her being here, Saval would be glad to see her.
He glances around, just for the briefest of seconds, but they're alone by the side of the road. He reaches out to touch her face, stroking her cheek with his thumb the way he used to do when they were together.*
And I have missed you. I am...relieved that you are safe.
*His time on the colony, among other Vulcans, has made him less expressive than he was on the Enterprise, but the way he's touching her makes it clear just how grateful and relieved he really is.*
[She doesn't realize until he touches her just how much she's missed the feel of his hand on her face. Her breath hitches, eyes fluttering closed as her mind is flooded with images of what it would be like to keep touching, to strip of all their clothes, to get so close mentally and physically that they're inside each other in every possible way.
His greeting is a little subdued, but they're in public, and she knows that things have to be different now.]
Probably just a few days, and then I should get back, but... I wanted to see you. How are you?
