aww Dean! You've got me freaked! What's happening to Cas?!?!? Loved the conversation between Bobby and Dean, he really is like a father to him. Can't wait for more!
Is it wrong that I like that everyone's freaking out for Cas? I have to think if this fic had been told entirely from Bobby's POV, there'd be TONS of eyerolling going on.
Oh noes… are you about to satisfy my underlying whumped!Cas fetish? I have such a thing for Dean taking care of Cas. I like how you used Bobby in this, hon. He gets a bad press for basically being true to character as the tough-talking curmudgeon he is so his grumpy comfort rings totally true to character. And I like to see him being concerned for Cas! :-D
Oh, you have a Cas!whump fetish, too? And a thing for Dean taking care of Cas? Oh yes... yes... we'll get along splendidly :D
Would you believe that I used to hate Bobby? In later seasons I've learned to like him, but early on UGH. (which has nothing to do with Jim Beaver... I've always liked him, if that makes ANY sense).
LOL, initially I was all about the BAMF!Cas. And then I wrote something where fallen!Cas steps in front of Dean and takes an angel sword in the guts. And then I started reading strangeandcharm, who is the Alpha Mother of whumped!Cas, as you probably know… :-D
I've always liked Bobby, I think because my sense of humor is similarly barbed. I wrote a goodish bit of Bobby-Cas interaction in a longfic of mine because I hated the way Show had Bobby dismiss Cas's fall. Also wrote in some Cas-Crowley interaction, because I think the comedic possibilities of that are awesome. I'm toying with an idea for a story where Bobby, Cas and Crowley have to team up on something…
If a fic can have BAMF!Cas and whump!Cas both, then I'm one seriously happy fangirl :) I'm also fond of fics where Cas is inhuman (so many fics just make him out to be a clueless guy, so when he comes across as 'alien', yay!).
I think the reason I took so long to warm to Bobby was his redneckishness... I live in small-town Texas. If I want redneck, I could just walk out the front door.
Your reason for liking Bobby is the same as my reason for liking Misha. My RL friend was following his twitter long before I did, so she got a sense of the actor and not the character, and she told me 'you really need to check this guy out, his sense of humor reminds me of yours.' Then I was in love ;)
I would just like to add that because I am home alone and sick in bed, I have been checking your page periodically to see if you've posted the next chapter. I believe you have a superfan.
