The class started to make noise. When the door opened, they suddenly became quiet. A one step made from the new student. Girls covered their mouth to not ruined the silence. Then the guy slowly got inside the room. Others were mesmerized but not definitely Jessica, Sungmin, HyunSeong especially Eunhyuk.
The guy successfully stood in front of the class. He bowed and told everyone.
“Annyeong-haseyo, I’m Lee Donghae. Nice to meet you all.” Donghae said comfortably.
Girls were attracted to him. Donghae noticed the way they look at him. He immediately looked down and scratched his head. Mr. Hoon cleared his throat and slammed his metal stick that was use for teaching.
“Okay, since he’s new and we still got a lot of time; you may ask any questions to him. Is that okay, Donghae-sshi?” Mr. Hoon asked him. He glanced at their adviser and nodded. Students started raising their hands and making noises.
“Yes, Ji Eun?” Mr. Hoon called. She immediately stood up and blushed.
“Umm...Oppa, how old are you?” She asked shyly. The students teased her for asking a simple question. Donghae smiled to her making Ji Eun blushed.
“I’m only 17 years old, Ji Eun-sshi.” He smiled again. The gals squealed again while the guys laughed.
“Yes, Seung-yeon?” Another one was called.
“Oppa, what’s your ideal type girl?” She asked while twirling her hair. Donghae giggled silently.
“Well, I really like a kind, nice and innocent. I prefer intelligence than beauty. Have this beautiful smile and cute sparkling eyes that I’m still in the middle of searching it.” He ended with a smile. The girls went crazy and blushed. But he heard a comment that even though it’s noisy, he heard it and looked who’s that person.
“His answer is the same as Eunhyuk.”
Then he caught Sungmin and Jessica whispering to each other. Sungmin looked away when their eyes met. He then looked at Jessica. She was staring back at him with a raised eyebrow and blank face. He was interrupted by their adviser.
“Looks like you’ll have many fan girls.” He whispered to Donghae. He giggled as a response.
“Okay, let’s look for the last lucky one. We’re running out of time for my subject. Umm…” Mr. Hoon announced while glancing at his wrist watch. Students are still raising their hands but Mr. Hoon saw the familiar hand of a student. He smiled.
“Yes, Prince Lee Hyuk Jae?”
He said with a playful smile.
Students gasped and turned around. They stared at Eunhyuk, who’s raising his hand with crossed legs and blank expression who decided to ask a question. The class gradually became quiet and stared at him. He put his hand down and looked at him. Seating coolly and didn’t dare to stand up. Donghae was shocked to hear him will ask a question but he smirked and looked back at his eyes.
“I heard that you’re one of the family clan that transferred here...
Silence
I’m just curious...
Why all of you?
Pause
Is it for academic purposes?
Pause
Or...
Silence
Something personal?
Like... Someone to get rid of?”
A blank expression was still in Eunhyuk’s face. Donghae on the other hand, chuckled that caused the students to looked back at him.
“First things first, It’s too nice to meet you, Hyukjae-sshi. Well, you are right. We’re here for someone. We heard that he’s in this school so we also study here. I do know that every human has the right to study. It’s their choice where. Am I right?”
He ended with a smile. This time, it was Eunhyuk who chuckled. The aura in the room became uncomfortable for all the students especially for Mr. Hoon. He doesn’t know why he can’t stop the two students.
“Ha-ha... Human huh?”
He almost whispered his sentence and looked back at him. Eunhyuk’s words made Donghae startled. Of course, I’m not human...
“Well, thanks for answering. You know, curiosity kills me. Hope you’ll enjoy your stay here. Lee Dong Hae-sshi.” Eunhyuk returned to his blank face. It made again the classroom quiet. Mr. Hoon cleared his throat.
“...O-Okay...Umm... Donghae-sshi. Thanks for answering the students’ questions. Like our student council president said, We hope you’ll enjoy your stay here. Let’s give him a round of applause.” Mr. Hoon declared. The students clapped and some are whispering.
Donghae bowed to them and smiled.
“Donghae-sshi, please go to your seat beside Eunhyuk-sshi.”
Donghae nodded and bowed again. He slowly walked near his chair. Their eyes met. Donghae smirked and sat beside him. In contrast, a blank face was in Eunhyuk’s face.
“Okay, let’s start our class.” Mr. Hoon proclaimed.
Mr. Hoon was already teaching and class became somehow noisy. Unlike Eunhyuk and Donghae, they decided to keep quiet...for a while.
“So you are really here for me?” Eunhyuk choose to talk first. He whispered it so nobody can hear.
Donghae looked at him and raised an eyebrow. A smirk formed in his lips. He waited for Eunhyuk to look at him. After some seconds, Eunhyuk looked at Donghae with irritated face.
“Is that you really want to ask me? I’m not stupid. You know why we’re here. Stop turning to other paths. Just tell it direct to the point.”
“Leave me alone. You already got my brother, what’s still do you want?” Eunhyuk looked outside after he finished his sentence. Donghae looked at him again, a sad smile formed in his lips.
“You.
I envy you. That’s why I want to get rid of you. I hate you so much. You have all. You received all love from others. While me, I can’t feel any. I want to be like you. I want to feel special even if it’s only one will give me.”
Donghae’s words made Eunhyuk to looked back at him. They looked at each other for a while. Eunhyuk looked at him sadly.
“Is that what you think of me? A special? You are wrong. You don’t have to be like me. My life is not perfect. I don’t receive love from my family. If you think I’m enjoying this, you are definitely wrong.
I want to live a normal life.
I never wanted this.
I never wished to.
I never dreamed of becoming an angel, Donghae.
Never.”
