C'est moi, c'est moi

This is an 'about me' post. I was partially inspired by new friend miki_hime1221 and partially inspired by the fact that the first thing people will read when they come to my journal is a post about my hallmates throwing up. (They were not very good neighbours.)

I don't post very often. I mostly use this journal to comment on other people's and to fangirl at camelot_love. ( Read more... )

rl: friends, rl: family, obligatory introductory post, real life, rl: college

Ooh, archaeology! That sounds like a fascinating major. Are there any particular archaeology digs you'd like to do?

Ingrid Michaelson!! &hearts And several other musicians on your list, but mostly...Ingrid!

I'm in college in Connecticut (hi, neighbor!), and while I have yet to declare my major/minor I plan on majoring in 19th and 20th century history and minoring in human development (with a focus on families). I spend my free time pretty much the same as you. :-P I did, however, volunteer in a kindergarten class last year, and I'd very much like to do that again.

As for books I'm reading...the seventh Artemis Fowl. XD I grow very attached to books/shows, so even though I started the series back in, God, fifth grade or something, I still keep up with it. ^^

I would absolutely love to work in Petra or do underwater archaeology in Alexandria.

Yay history nerds! Are you going to be a teacher or was volunteering in a class just for fun?

I just ordered the seventh book from the library! I'm the same way, I'm involved in it now so I have to know how it ends. And I just bought the second book from a used book sale along with a ton of other books from my childhood. It was basically free so how could I pass that up?

Oh, wow, that sounds amazing! I hope you get to one day. =)

Right now I plan to go to law school and then work to reform the juvenile justice system, but I'm also considering going to graduate school and becoming a history professor. I pretty much volunteer because I love being around kids.

LOL! I knew we had become LJ friends for a reason. ;-) I hope you enjoy it!
