What a brilliant trip - I especially like the girls in their kimonos and the wedding party, I think, oh - and the bronze dog - the Grey Friar's Bobby of Japan...

Thank you.
*sniggers* "the Grey Friar's Bobby"
Methinks we are both showing our age here, dear!

Thoroughly enjoying your report and pics! I had to laugh at your little moment! Sounds so right!

By the way the pic of the girls in kimono - that's a special type called hakama that they wear for graduation. They are holding some document they received for graduation.

Thank you. Phil did mutter something about them going to the shrine to offer thanks for a successful graduation, but I just took the pic because the outfits were so pretty.
I can't believe that I forgot to take any shots of you during our visit to Nagoya.(I wouldn't have posted without your permission, obviously,)but I felt such a twit when Col. K asked "Did you meet your friend? Where are the shots?"
Too busy gabbing and stuffing our faces if truth be told ...

Oh no worries about the lack of pics - I am horribly unphotogenic, so I am relieved really!

I love that everything is so pedestrian! It looks like a great city for walking. Love the photos! It really makes me want to go!

Thank you! We walked and walked, (when we weren't on the subway/train) and yes, it's very pedestrian-friendly.
Hope you make it there someday too!
