so for those of you who love the gap and want to live the gap life vicariously through me, I can share some stories with you. They generally fall into several categories. here are some honorable mentions.

The average inseam for a pair of size 4s is 32 inches. In fact, most jeans have an average inseam of 32 inches, unless you purchase short. Then they're like 28 inches, because obviously no one has 29-31 inch inseams.

I have women's jeans. It doesn't make sense that men have so many options and women - WHOSE BODIES ARE EXTREMELY DIFFERENT FROM ONE ANOTHER AND HAVE EFFING CURVES - have so few. According to most designers, all women have 32 inch legs.

well we have short, petite, and long in our jeans, so the lady was asking that I know 30 women's inseams (plus all the men's) - the petite and short lengths are actually different, at least for us. Obviously petite includes other differences. Which is why I gave her a weird look when she wanted me to start naming off inseams for her size in short and regular lengths. perhaps if this were my career.... lol.

p.s. I do agree that it's strange that women have to deal with just one length to go with one waist, but men have more choices. And then we are dumbed down - oh this is a 4 short, instead of saying this is a 27x30. (our short is two inches shorter than the regular, that's all I know).

Earlier, I wrote 28, but really the average is 30. I just feel that a lot of companies (gap included) say 30 inches for short, but make them 28-29 or 31 instead (I have yet to find a pair of short jeans that fit me perfectly.
