Waiting until it was safe enough to veer towards the curb - more out of concern for his automobile than for the well-being of others - Naraku steered his car a few yards ahead of Gin and popped open his trunk. Getting out of the car, he then carefully leaned over its roof as he grinned at his friend.
“Gin Ichimaru,” he called out. “I was wondering when this town would find itself a bit of class.”

"Naraku Onigumo," he addressed his business partner with a grin that on the surface was friendly, as one might use to greet an old college chum, but underneath held secrets best discussed in back rooms late at night. "I'd begun to think that no one was coming to get me. I realize now that I really should have called ahead. I was afraid I would be abandoned and I really don't care for taxis."
He hefted his suitcase into the trunk with little effort which might seem strange for a man of his build. The dufflebag he made no move to store, keeping it slung on his shoulder, close to his body. He'd greased several palms to get it through security and he wasn't about to let it out of his sight now.
"Me classy? You always were such a flatterer."

"Abandon? Me?" With a grin, he walked towards the trunk and brought it to a close as he mentioned, "I would either say that you don't know me very well, or that you know me too well. Coming in from the Big Apple means you've very little patience, Gin, which is something you'll be forced to learn in a little college town. Of course, if that's not your style, I'm sure you'll make enough of the right friends to make sure that you don't have to bother learning any new tricks."
He nodded his head towards the passenger side, silently inviting Gin to go in as he made his own way towards the driver's seat. "Flatter? Surely you jest. I only ever flatter if I want something. Given your present attire, I was only being truthful."
Inside the car, he asked, "How's business?"
