Hinata had been looking forward to the 'date' she had won with Miroku since they discussed it, knowing it was nothing serious which made her feel more relaxed about everything. Honestly, she always ended up letting her nerves get the best of her on actual dates, so the casualness of this made her quite happy. Dressed simply in nice jeans with a tank top and a blazer over it Hinata headed down to the car, giving Miroku a tentative smile as she approached.

Seeing her coming towards him, Miroku grinned and got out of his car. "Hey," he called, walking towards the passenger side. "A pretty girl who actually shows up on time. Where've you been all my life?"

He laughed as he opened the passenger door, holding out his hand for hers. Chivalry might have been dead in the world of romance, but between friends? It was kind of part of the package, in Miroku's eyes. "You look great," he remarked.

Blushing softly, Hinata blinked up at Miroku as she nodded slightly. "Thank you, um, I always try to be punctual." She typically had to deal with her father and other family members, and they were very strict as far as punctuality goes.

Taking his hand she felt her blush intensify and silently cursed her pale complexion. "You um, also look nice, and thank you again for picking the place." She would have never been able to decide with so many choices.

Miroku's smile turned into what he called his "Charlie Brown smile," the crinkled line when someone's said something amusing without intending for it to be. "Punctuality's a great trait," he assured her as he helped her into the car.

Gently closing the door after her once she was seated, he responded, "Thanks, and no problem. Like I've mentioned, I aim to please. Wouldn't dream of taking you someplace or doing something you'd be against."

Jogging over towards the driver's side, Miroku got into the car and flashed her another smile. "It's a bit of a drive," he mentioned as he started the car. "So I'll let you pick the music we listen to. And before you ask, I'm not really particular."
