It had been a while since Aizen had been on an actual date. They never ended well for him, work obligations and everything consistently getting in the way, but he felt he owed it to Rangiku to actually give her what she so obviously deserved. He figured depending on what she was in the mood for tonight he would do what he could to make her dreams come true, at least for tonight.
Dressed in a simple black suit with subtle pin-striping, a gray button-down, and a matching tie, he arrived outside Rangiku's building with just enough time to sit in his car wondering if this was the best decision for him. He found Rangiku to be a lovely young woman, beautiful, classy, and everything he could ever want in a date. He was certain that she'd know how to comport herself for social functions and yet still be able to keep his interests in other areas as well, but he had never been in an actual working relationship.
Perhaps, he thought as he made it to her door and knocked, tonight he could pretend it could all work out.
Though she stood right by it, Rangiku let the man wait a few minutes before she opened it, flashing him a bright smile. Her eyes drank him in, head to toe. Much impressed.
So this is what dating a man was like.
Suffice to say that the bar of expectations was suddenly raised quite high to anyone who might try to woo the young woman in the future. At this moment in time, Rangiku was completely spoiled for anyone else.
When the door was opened Aizen took a moment to take in the beauty before him. He felt momentarily breathless.
Giving her a crooked smile moved his hand out from behind his back, revealing a bouquet of rainbow roses.
"I'm glad to hear that. I fear I'd never live it down if I were running late." He paused, gesturing with the flowers. "I hope you like them, I've been assured they're all the rage in England."
Aizen waited for Rangiku to take them, nodding slightly. "Are you ready, or do you need a few moments?"
Ran's eyes widened at the flowers and she let out a soft gasp at the flowers. "I've never seen anything like these before! They're stunning." She poked at the colorful petals, smiling softly. She set them on the entry table replacing the fake flowers that had been there. She would fill it with water later, or Rikku would take care of them whenever she got in.
With the flowers dealt with, she collected her keys and crutches. "I'm ready to go."
