Dressed as Slave-Leia, regardless of the chill in the air, Yachiru was wearing a long brown braided wig to help complete the illusion. Probably not the greatest Trick-or-Treating costume, but her Masquerade costume needed to be saved. Anyone who knew Leia's movie history would see the connection between her costumes, but there was also the fact that she kind of thought Naruto was cute and wanted to show off.

When she arrived at the meeting place and looked around she thought sh saw the blonde across the street. Hurrying over, she smiled widely and waved.

Naruto did a double-take at the scantily-clad brunette heading his way - she looked flat-out familiar, but Naruto couldn't quite... place...

"Holy crap!" Naruto exclaimed, a gigantic grin spreading across his face. "Yachiru, you look awesome!!"

He laughed and hurried over to her, twisting so he could finished the walk to the meeting spot with her at the last moment.

"Are you sure you're not gonna freeze like that? Well, I guess I could always give you my coat-" Naruto tugged at the high-collared white jacket he was wearing "-but I doubt it'll help much. But wow, I didn't recognize you at first!"

Itachi did not consider what he was going trick-or-treating. No. He was chaperoning. Apparently someone recently turned twenty needed someone to watch him, fine. Itachi could have gotten much worse with the blackmail Naruto was using, he was only lucky the blond didn't know how to manipulate it properly. He certainly wasn't planning to point that out to him. A costume was bad enough.

A vampire, if he remembered correctly. There better not be any glitter involved, or the deal was off. Still, Itachi felt ridiculous, and on the way over from work ducking into a convenience store. When he parted not far from the China town, he left his briefcase inside and brought only the mask he had purchased. Or rather, half a mask. It was the only thing that didn't make him look like even more of an idiot

Yachiru giggled happily at Naruto's reaction, blushing slightly to his comments about her lack of attire.

"Ain' it awesome?" Yachiru was amazingly proud of her outfit. "It's not that cold, but if I d' get cold I'll let ya know!"

She was pretty sure any chill she felt would be worth it, however if she knew what Itachi thought of her she'd probably attempt to beat him up. She was most definitely not a prostitute, nor was she even a skank. She was a huge Star Wars fan however, and figured dressing like this was one of two ways to show off while still being a massive geek-girl.

When they arrived to where Itachi was standing Yachiru waved and extended a hand in greeting. "Hi, ya must be Naru-taru's friend! I'm Yachiru, an' I'm showing off my Star Wars fangirl side!" She giggled, hoping he wasn't nearly as icy as he seemed to be acting. Maybe he'd loosen up during the night so that she could stop feeling so awkward around him.

Itachi had trouble deciding which part of that introduction disturbed him more. Either way, he wasn't going to like this person one bit.

Normally, he would have enough manners to offer his hand for shaking and introduce himself back, but she was certainly below that kind of thing, so he just narrowed his eyes at her.

Naruto beamed brightly at Itachi, explaining, "Yachiru's coming trick-or-treating with us. There should be a bunch of others coming too, so we're waiting a bit longer."

The blond paused and turned to Yachiru, waving an absent hand at Itachi.

"Don't mind Itachi, by the way; he's got all the social skills of a very thick rock. Though he'll suit his costume well enough." Naruto paused again to turn back to Itachi and handed him the plastic bag. Inside, a dramatic black cape and a pair of fangs awaited. "Here that is, by the way. Ne, what d'you think of mine, by the way? I'm the Yondaime."

Naruto grinned and twisted so Itachi could see the kanji written down the back. "Pretty awesome, right?"

We can still keep up the other thread, just trying to get the night moving.

Itachi sighed. Twenty minutes of mindless twitter and they were still standing around. The owner of the shop was starting to give them dirty looks for loitering.

"Unless someone shows up in the next two minutes, I'm leaving," he informed Naruto.
