uggh. Don't even get me started. What I feared most happened. Many people tripped over the rock of perpertual offense never to get up again

I don't agree with your assesement of Leighanne's mental state. The few times I saw her she did not exhbit the hypervilgence f charecetec PTSD. She can function. IShe may be a little possesive and dominating but that insecurity speaking not PTSD. Also, I don't particulary like people making armchair diagnoses when it is hard for even the professionals to do. HAte is not driven only by mental disorder. And in particular 9/11 Islamaphobia was driven more by anger and grief over the attacks. Even now Islamophobia still exists. Your sepculation may be well-intentioned but it not helpful. People already have a low opinion of her, this will make it worse without any good reason.
